Set sail on an extraordinary voyage from Cairns to Thursday Island, where tropical reefs, untouched islands, and rich cultural heritage come together in one of Australia’s most remote and breathtaking regions. This adventure blends natural wonders, Indigenous history, and hands-on sailing, making for an unforgettable journey through the far north’s pristine seascapes.

Departing Cairns, our first stop is Michaelmas Cay, a paradise for birdwatchers and snorkelers, surrounded by vibrant coral reefs. Nearby, Cairns Reef provides a spectacular underwater world teeming with marine life and colourful coral formations.

Sailing north, we arrive in Cooktown, where tales of Captain Cook’s landing and early Australian exploration come to life. At Lizard Island, hike to breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the stunning Blue Lagoon, snorkel among world-class coral gardens, or relax on secluded beaches.

At Stanley Island, ancient Indigenous rock art sites tell stories that span thousands of years, while Lloyd Bay offers an untouched paradise for fishing and exploring. Discover the tranquillity of Restoration Island, step ashore at Albany Island’s rainforest-fringed beaches, and enjoy the serene anchorages of the Mount Adolphus Islands.

The journey culminates in the Torres Strait, where Horn Island’s wartime history and Thursday Island’s unique blend of Indigenous and colonial culture provide a memorable finale. Aboard a well-equipped sailing yacht, enjoy crystal-clear waters, star-filled nights, and the adventure of navigating one of Australia’s most remote and awe-inspiring regions.
